Mystery LPS ID
Was examining my family's 120 gallon reef and I saw this guy. It looks sorta like a fungia but its hard to see and even harder to photograph. It is hidden in the shadow of a pretty large pagota cup coral and the only way for the camera to see it is at a sharp angel through the glass, so that means a craptacular picture.
I never placed anything there or bought anything that resembles this, so it may have been a hitchhiker? It looked like some sort of coralmorphian at first but I poked it (of course) and it deff has a hard LPS skeleton. Any ideas?

was it meaty? How big is it? I'd say it was either a scolomia or a blasto of some sort, looks cool!

Don't larval fungia attach to rock like that? Thats what I thought of first and I'd say thats pretty possible, but now i see it may have tentacles off the outer disk... pretty cool regardless of what it is. what color is it?

Its probably about twice the size of a quarter, and If I had to guess on its ID I would say fungia as well. Its kinda redish brown. This summer I may move the pagoda so I can get a better look

Do those eventually break free to roam the sand bed?
