I don't know of any data on the performance of the various phosphate media. Any of the GFO products should be safe. The Warner product seems to be getting good reviews, but PhosBan and Phosphate Killer seem to be fine, in my experience.

I've tried Mark Weiss, Rowaphos, Dr. Fosters and Smiths home brew and Warner Marines PhoSar.

PhoSar has performed for me hands down.
