Ebay locking up

Does any one have any idea why every time I try to access Ebay, it locks up on me. I doubt it is happening to every one too.

I had probems yesterday with ebay and paypal today. I'd guess it's a traffic issue. It's # 5 in the US and 13th in the world.
Don't think they have a premium membership option.

EDIT::: This just came in from ebay. I did most of it and it now works great.
Dear Marksreef,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to not being able to search items
on eBay and the page locking up during the search.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in my response.

Mark, I see that you are currently using Explorer 7.0 browser. I have
given some steps to resolve your issue. please understand that often
member face this kind of problem due to their browser issue. I would
suggest that you first go ahead and clear out your web browser's cache
and bad cookies.

CLEAR CACHE COOKIES FORM MSIE 7.0:

For clearing cache and cookies for MSIE 7.0 steps are as follows:

1. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.

2. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.

3. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.

4. When Internet Explorer 7 finishes restoring the default settings,
click Close, and then click OK two times.

5. Close Internet Explorer

7. The changes take effect the next time that you open Internet Explorer 7.

ENABLE JAVASCRIPT FOR MSIE 7.0:

1) Open Internet Explorer.

2) Click on the Tools button (the picture of the gear) or ?Tools? from
the program menu.

3) Click on Internet Options?.

4) Click the Security tab.

5) In the ?Security level for this zone? box, click on Custom level?.

6) Scroll toward the bottom of the Settings box to Scripting.

7) Enable active scripting.

8) Click OK twice to close the dialogue.

9) Click the Refresh button after the Address Bar at the top of your
browser, or hit F5.

However, if the problem still remains the same, I would suggest that you uninstall your browser and update the browser that eBay recommends. Here is the list of eBay recommended Web browsers and the urls of the upgrade site.

For Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later (MS Windows) visit:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...s/default.mspx

For Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or later (MS Windows or Apple Mac) visit:

www.mozilla.com/firefox/

For Apple Safari 2 or later (Apple Mac) visit:

www.apple.com/macosx/features/safari/

For MSN TV

For best results using eBay on your television, use MSN® TV 2 Internet & Media Player MSN®TV 2 uses the latest Internet Explorer 6.0 Web browser
technology, which will provide improved Web site compatibility. However, there may be limitations based on hardware and screen area when using
MSNTV2. For more information to www.msntv.com.

For AOL service

eBay also supports America Online (AOL) and most other online services
that use a customized version of an eBay supported browser on the
Internet. However, early versions of these services might not perform
well on eBay. Check your online service for information on how to
download the latest version of their browser.

Note: the most current version of AOL for Macintosh OSX is not fully
supported by eBay since it is based on older browser technology.

We are committed to making your eBay experiences pleasant and
fulfilling.

Sincerely,
Joey G.
