SLASH: What's your favorite book?

I have never seen a thread on this but was just wondering what everyone's personal favorite book is IN REGARDS TO THE SALTWATER HOBBY. Don't answer with the Da Vinci Code.

I'll Start:

I think that it is an absolute must have and great source of information. (And I haven't even gotten all the way through it)

Calfo and Fenner are great guys too!

That's a good book.

Unfortunately, I don't think I've ever found a single book that I would be willing to hang my hat on so I'm forced to buy several.

It seems that even the "experts" don't agree with other "experts" so I like to read several and form my own opinions based on the information that I get from several authors.

Ditto but I do find I use that pocket guide to reef invertebrates by Dr. Shimek a lot.

I enjoy "How To" books myself, like Greg Capobianco's "How to Care for a Saltwater Tank in your Old Age" ...what can I say, I like to plan for the future WAY in advance.

I don't think I'd worry too much about the future if I were you Malinda!

Just a little "friendly" advice.

Great author though!

Magazine... not a book. Technically I think a book is also something that is not published weekly or monthly....

However that is a fine choice.

Not at all... Ever watch "Girls next Door?" My wife actually watches that.. I happen to know that They have a huge Saltwater tank at the Playboy Mansion...

So the argument could be made...

Ahhh but I never thought of that... I can combine my love of seafood, and reading, and reef keeping all into one book!

Thanks so much!!!

Ok, I'll try to get us back on the right road, yeah right. I look thru the 3 ID books by Paul Humann quite a bit. It's great for ID'ing things that show up in the tank from time to time. I got them for SCUBA Diving but ended up using them more often for tank reference.
