Really Great System for Sale (Rocky Mount, NC)

Before I start parting this out, I'll test the waters for a buyer of the whole system. If you ever wanted a very nicely setup aquarium for a good price this is it. I'm asking $3000 for a system that was designed by Wade Lehmann(reefs.org), Chad Bryant(ReefScience), and Paul from OceansMotions. I'll let this sit for a week or so and then start the parting out. I know I'll get more from parting it out, so you might want to consider buying the whole thing and you parting out! Just a thought....

Details:
150G Acrylic tank from Acrylic Creations
3200G Sequence pump closed loop running through...
4-Way HD OceansMotions device
MAG 12 return pump
Melev custom 45G sump
ASM G4x skimmer with recirculation and gate valve mods
(3) PFO HQI DE 250w mini pendants with ballast
Moon Lights with LunarTracker (simulates moon phases)
Aquacontroller II
(2) American DJ Power boxes
RO/DI Unit with new filters
(2) 55 Gallon Water Containers
(3) buckets of Salt
(4) brand new bags of original Southdown
300 lbs of Carribean Sand dug off the ocean floor
300+ pounds of showcase quality rock
Custom red oak stand and hood

All of my livestock - which I will keep as a bonus to the buyer, but needless to say there are some very choice items.
All of my fish closet - bonus lights, refractometers, buffers, acrylics polishing stuff, weld-on, and much much more - some items never opened.

This really is a great steal to someone that wants to upgrade, or start out right!

Interested parties contact me individually please....

pacificbluereef - without getting into a lot on a message board, I've had some health and lifestyle changes. The pics are fairly up to date, there's not much difference between now and the May pic on the journal page of my website.

normanfine - click the little red house on my post to see pics from my website. Let me know if you need more....

tank

very nice pics I would like to see more of the tank from a distance mainly of the stand, canopy and lighting inside if possible. The stain on the would looked like a light stain I was not sure.

thanks,
Norman

normanfine - i can't further away from the tank than the pics you see in "The Build" section of my journal page - not sure what you're looking for there?

I can get you pics of the lighting inside the canopy tonight, but it's three of these evenly spaced across the top

The stain is basically an oil rubbed look - only I used marine grade poly for durability.

tanks

I am interested in the color of the canopy and the stand. This is what I would like too see pics off. I need to know the stain color of the stand this is a deciding factor for my wife. She likes dark stain, that is why I am asking. You mentioned oil stain, I really do not know much about stain can it be redone with something darker. Thanks for the prompt replies.

Norman - it's not stained at all. It's natural red oak covered in a polyuerothane to bring out the natural wood color. It could be sanded and re-stained any color you wish.

tank

Hey thanks for the replys,

I would like too see current pics of the tank, stand, canopy and lighting as it is today. I really like pics so feel free to take many. How old is everything and are there any scratches on the tank. You did a nice job on the stand and canopy from the build pictures. Can the stand be sanded by hand just to rough the wood or does it have to be sanded down to natural wood. I am not much of a wood worker sorry about the stupid questions.

Thanks,
Norman

I read that you are not responding to part out requests but I'll take the sequence, 4way and power boards if you dont sell as a package.

Good luck with the deal. Its a great offer.

Sorry to hear you're getting out. Paul used your setup as an instructional layout for me. My closed loop is identical to yours. Are you still running it in the surface-roiling layout with the 45's in the front-bottom aimed at the surface?

sivert55 - Cool. Paul's used my setup for several users and I'm glad to have helped in any way. Paul's a great guy and I owe him a lot. I hate to be getting out, but I've had some issues come up health related and lifestyle related, that really necessitate my getting out of the hobby. Yes, it still runs the same way.
