I hope I did not cause a problem

I went into Petco on Wednesday night to buy dog food because the restraunt my wife wanted to eat at on Valentine's day had an 1 1/2 hour wait. I strolled through the s/w section and noticed a very healthy clown tang. The lady said it just came in that day. It was labeled as "assorted tang" $19.99. I had to buy it. The water it was in was 87 degrees. I took it home and it is doing fine. I read up on this guy and it said he was very aggressive. I have a blue hippo tang and a gold rim tang which are both twice the size of the new clown tang. So far they are doing great together, but what should I expect in the future?

good thing you took him out of the hot tub. with the clown being 1/2 the size of the others ,it may be ok if its a healthy fish to begin with.

Ich. I would have quarantined that fish for 6 weeks. Best wishes to you, but that fish may end up not being much of a deal at all.

The Petco in Jackson finally gave up on saltwater and put freshwater in those tanks too. No more urges to rescue a couple dozen fish! =)

If you got the fish from the petco here in southaven I would have Qt it because all they sell is unhealthy, ich infested fish althou you don't see it when you buy it.
