Diploastrea heliopora is rarely collected and i have a chance to get one. It is tanish green in color and about 4x4 in size for $40. does this like a good deal?

Is it cool looking? If it is a neon green, I would say go for it. There is a store selling a diplo green and pink eye variation - size 7 inch long and 4 inch wide for $110.

i really i just happen to come across two at a lfs that get direct solomon sea shipments and these are the first two i have seen in two years. i was just wondering if i should take a chance and wait for a better colored one or if the price was good for the one they have left.

If they are getting solomons regularly you should be able to find a better colored one. They seem to come fairly regularly out of there.

Hehehe, if it's the first one you've seen in two years, are you willing to wait that long again?

You couldn't sell me the rarest coral in the world if it was brown. I want the eye candy! But that's me
