I'm using a sicce suprema. Its right at 1000gph but i have it feeding the skimmer with 10scfh as a meshwheel. And its pulling 25-50scfh from the bermuda venturi. I plan on trying a mag 7 or mag 5 with it eventually and just using it as a venturi.

Heres a pic of my 9th cup. I just got the thing yesterday so its only on its 2nd day. The thing is a beast and did alot of catching up after I got rid of the remora. It was alot darker than in the pic. I have it skimming very dry now, but this is when it was skimming wet. This is with a mag5 btw.

Hybrid, that looks identical in skimmate color as mine is pulling. It pulls to much skimmate when i run it like that. Around 9 cups a day. Anyhow. Your clear wheel is way to open! lol, it doesn't make a difference, but its not supose to be that high ; ) Looks good btw. I bet thats about 4x's as dark and 10x's the amount your remora would pull in a week! lol

Oh the wheel is alot more closed now LOL. Yea I'd say so... in the beginning it was 10x more dark and skimmed what my remora would get in about 2 weeks! lol Thing is a beast for a hang on.

It looks the same as a remora pretty much. And for anything less than a 45g tank this thing has gotta be overkill imo. So i wouldn't really throw it on a 20g tank.

lol that be a even bigger eye sore on a 20g with a big pump dangling. Unless you make some sort of preskimming box. BTw Hybrid did you get a chance to take a picture? I am curious to how big it is.

Here's my updated rogue for the last 24hrs. It pulled over a cup of this and my modded in supm skimmer pulled around 5cups of wet skimmate. Thats alot of skimmate! And they say the rogue can only do wet! lol

Skimmate minus foam

Dude, my cup is starting to look like that slowly. The thing looks and smells like sewage! LOL oh yea I said I was going to take a pic. Let me post it up in a bit. Remember I have a 75g so just imagine it on a 40g and below.

I have a 45g and that looks pretty big in your tank and I'd imagine it'd be pretty dam huge in my tank. But its effective none the less. That thing looks like the size of the koralias, I know that luke said his sicee pump is pretty small.

With some nice aquascaping you could easily hide it. In my 125 my pump isn't even noticable as my canopy hangs down a bit past my tank border.

You saying my aquascaping skills are BAD!? lol j/k. I probably could hide it, but then I just dont mind it and people are so awe by the fish they barely even notice it and the powerheads.

Tank looks great, I'm sure once coraline grows on it, it won't be as noticeable. But that is a pretty big pump, are there other options with the same power but with a smaller look?

I'm sure there are but the mag's are very good pressure wise pump's for a venturi skimmer like this. I don't mind the pump. No man, your aquascaping looks good to me, i like the cave....looks good. Except for the two tang's in a 75g! Off to call the tang police....
