How do I correctly read a Kill-A-watt meter?

I know it measures watts, power factor and amps.

All I care is what number(s) I should look for that my SCE electric meter measures since that is where my money is going.

If you set it to read watts you'll know what it's drawing.

Last summer I had mine hooked to the chiller to give me a running total usage since I really had no idea how often it was running. After I found out I decided some things would just have to suffer the heat.

Doesnt the red button on the right show KWH which is what you want to know.

i really don't think it can tell you where you money goes, all i know is that when those number reads higher, i pay more
