Hydor Koralias locally

I was just in Tropical Treasures and they have the new Koralias in stock in all 4 sizes. Prices are the same as Drs Foster & Smith and Marine Depot online. Don said he has sold 4 of them already and just got them in.

I'm curious how they stack up against the Seios and Nano Streams. My almost 3 year old Seios have been very good with the exception of the suction cups.

the cost is not to high and the use magnets you have to buy the magnets. IF you buy Seios then you have to buy the magnets there 20 to 30 dollors each

Yeah, I've noticed the clips on the Tunze Nanos to break pretty easily, but you can easily glue it back.

My clip was broken, got a new one from tunze.
The part that breaks is a tiny tab (there are 4) that slide into holes in the magnet...

I superglued the new clip it into the magnet, its not going anywhere....

I know they're less $$ then Tunze.. And to be honest, I personally think that's the only reason they're so popular...

They have their issues.. Each pump does.. but between these and the Vortechs, I don't know why you'd go with a Tunze anymore.

I received two of the 4's Friday. The 8.5 watts is a little optimistic, I tested both of them at 12 watts on my Kill A Watt device but that's still much better than the Seio 1100 at 22 watts and 820 at 16 watts.
I also see that Pet Safari has them in stock now too.

Yep, I like them so far also. I got 2 stage 4 in my 135g and the sps seem very happy with the water flow. I have only been using for 5 days but so far I am impressed with them. I also put a stage 3 in my wifes 56g and it has good water flow also. The real test comes in a couple months when we see if there are any problems that might happen with them. So far I feel it was money well spent.

The safari has them for $15 over what TT has them for.

I bought one this weekend, and so far I am impressed with it.

Has anyone had any problem with the magnet mounts? One of mine seems a lot weaker than the other and it concerns me that it may fall off easily if bumped.

Not on mine. They seem to be holding fine.

How thick is your glass, or acry? I was wondering about these just for some dead spots. My glass is 1/2" and I think thats pushing it.

I think its 1/2". One magnet seemed fine but the other didn't want to hold as well. I may try swapping them to see if its the inside or outside magnet that is weaker.

I removed the outer suction cup and just used the magnet. I even moved it around by holding just the pump and the magnet didn't fall off.
