Temperature high what would you do first?

So I checked my chemicals the other night after to long without doing so. Everything is in great range, except my temp is 91. I'm running a 90 with a 29 sump/ref. I've got to 250 watt MH with 110 actinic pc's. I'm using a mag 12 as a return pump and a Tunze 6060. There is also a ASM G2 in the sump. I'm sure the pumps are part of an issue with the temp, as well as the lights which do have one fan pussing air in, and one pulling air out of the hood. I want to get more into sps, and know that the temp will be an issue.

I guess I'm wondering if I should get the return pump out of the sump as well as the skimmer, and plumd the external to the sump to reduce heat, or would that just be wasting time and I should pick up a chiller. The temp in the house is usually keep in the 70's and the tank is in a basement. Any ideas or thoughts would be great.

I would check for stuck heaters.

Are the halides inside a canopy? How many fans do you have?

Heater seems to be fine. The halides are inside a canopy, and theire are two 4" in the canopy.

Do you know if you get a big cool off period when the lights go out? or does the temp still remain in the upper 80's. That just seems really really hot.

My tank is similar to yours in total gallon capacity. I run 2 400 watt lights. My temps stay pretty cool like 81. I do however run 2 of the 4 fan azoo fan bars (8 x 3-4 inch fans).

sounds strange, I'd double and triple check the thermometer. Mag pumps add lots of heat, but not that much unless there is something seriously wrong. MH's also add heat, how high are they?

All of the pumps I use are mag pumps. They do add a lot of heat.

I have lots of Mags as well:

-In Sump
Mag9 runs the return
Mag7 runs the skimmer
Mag7 runs the carbon / phosar cannisters
Some other little pump pushing water to the reactor

-Not In Sump (but in the cabinet adding heat)
Mag7 for the Calcium Reactor (recirculating)

Even with that and the MH I still average around 80.5 - 81 during the day

How far off the water are your lights?
Do you have any open areas for air to escape from your canopy? If so, I have found it is better to have both fans blowing air into the space rather than a push/pull configuration.
What is the temperature in your basement?

The thermometer seems fine, as does the heater. The lights are about 8 inchs off of the water. The temp seems to go down to about 36 when the lights are off.
