Washing substate question

I am setting up a new tank this Saturday. I have 2 bags of Aragamax sand. As per the instructions on the bag, I need to rinse a little at a time to help get rid of the dust.
Would it be ok to wash the sand Thursday night and just store it in a plastic container until Saturday?

Will you be filling the tank with tap as well.? If so, it really doesn't matter. I would say if you are filling with RO or RO/DI I would rinse with the same so as not to introduce any unwanted chemistry.

I rinsed with water from the hose with our tank and used RO water for the display. You don't need to rinse your sand with RO water.

I'm going from a 30 gallon to 54 corner tank. I have 20+ gallons of salt water mixing now and am going to use as much of the water out of the 30 that I can.
I was just trying to save some time and going ahead and rinseing the sand so I don't have to mess with it Saturday.
