Everybody does things different but I never feed my corals. If they get any food it's from feeding the fish. Ive had my bubble coral for 23 years and never feed it lol. Not saying you can't or should'nt feed corals but I don't think it's necessary if you have fish in the tank to feed.

Ive had this echino (which started from about a 1 inch frag) for about 2 yrs now and fragged into 4 pieces last yr. I just fragged it again after the pict. but it was about 5 inches before that. It was originally from RandyO.
Ive never seen any feeders or sweepers on it even at night.

keefsama, I have mine under 6 54 watt HO T5's in my 55 gal.
I keep it about 1/3 of the way from the bottom.
I think your lights would be fine as they can live under alot of different lighting if acclimated to it. Some prefer lower lighting than others and they do change color sometimes depending on the light.

Very nice Alicia. Here is an updated shot of my bazooka Joe.

Sorry. I took these yesterday. The first in under my T5 actinics and the second is using an LED feature on my camera.

Does anyone have the Dark Maul chalice from Reefready?

Thanks guys, glad you like! I'll try to get some to down pics too. The inverted watermelon is actually called the "Mummy Eye." When I got my frag the owner of the mother colony has not decided on a name.

They are all in the lower half of the tank 12" to 20" down. The watermelon is 14" down and the Jayda's is 18" down and shaded by a large staghorn acro. Tank is lit with 250 watt DE Phoenix.

A tiny frag I got for 2 bucks a couple months ago that was brown/covered in hair algae and almost dead...its coming along quite nicely.

This I got around 4 months ago for 10 for a .5 inch frag...Its grown a lot and the color has come along nicely.

Dont think either have names though...

Hey Lam, what is that fiorst one, It looks similar to somethign I picked up from Hugo at the BACFM.

Mark, I just got a Lava Red chalice in a trade with Pookstreet, looks a lot like the Darth Maul chalice, a nice black background and a super red body over it. I was stoked when I got it in. He, Pookstreet, went and checked out the Darth Maul and noted major similarities. I love this hobby . So many nice pieces.

143Gadgets, that is super nice...I love the spreckles all over that chalice.

I recently got a few pieces form BeakerBob as well...that really nice blue with pink eyes shown above and the ever cool Orange Sherbert, Super sweet. I need to take some pics to add to the thread.

Alicia- If you are asking about a name for the coral, I don't think it has one yet. Feel free to name it. I pick it up recently and its for sure a very different color (almost rainbow). Not only that, but the flesh is really bubblely. Characteristic is nothing like my other chalice/echinos...

Lam, Did you pick it up local? The one I got form Hugo has a really nice yellow bubbly appearence but needs to color up to its full potential. I don't think it is as puffy as yours, at least yet, and it looks to have a dark base of some sort. I got it because it was such a different color morph than all my other chalices. Just similar for sure.

Greg, Is that pumpkin patch the same one that Eric just auctioned...the Miami Hurricane? Hard to tell from the picture but the oragne eyes sure look similar...Brian mentioned you had a piece of that also so I wondered if it was the same. Whatever that one is it sure is really nice. I love your Mummy eye and I am hoping my blue with pink eyes turns out like yours . Super fine. Keep the pictures rolling...and I promise to get some new shots up this weekend of some of my newer pieces.

Yes, it is the same. The original colony was split at the supplier and 1/2 sent to Fragfarmer.com and 1/2 to Aquadesignz.com. I was lucky enough to purchase that piece from Aquadesignz before Eric got a chance to. I just think the name Pumpkin Patch is a more fitting name.
