Using LR in FW tank
I am converting my SW set up to FW. Is there any issue w/ using LR in a FW set up. Do I need to clean it in a special way, & can I every reuse it for SW again after it's been in a FW set up?

Hi,
Surely you could use it. It will "dead" decorative rock in either the fresh water or the subsequent salt water use. Personally, I would bleach it thoroughly (and subsequently dechlorinate it) to remove the signficiant amount of dead organic material that will be present. Upon its return to a marine system down the line, it would not be "live" rock in any but the sense that it would have some bacteria growing on it. |

No, if they were the same a fresh water dip wouuld not kill the bacteria, which it does.
