Selling my 90 gallon bowfront, New Jersey

I am sorry to say that I have to sell my 90 gallon Bowfront Perfecto All Glass Tank, along with the contents. I have to move and unfortunately I cannot take this tank with me again. The tank has some scratches from the last move, but it doesn't impair the beauty of the tank itself.

I have about 200 lb of Tonga and Kaelini live rock. Most of the live rock is encrusted with a nice sampling of corraline algae. I've made some wonderful aquascapes with them. I include that with the tank cost.

The stand is a black bowfront with two doors and an open back. That's included with the tank cost.

I have a 25 gallon sump with live rock in the sump and a CU-125 protein skimmer. I also have a 3 inch deep live sand bed. All included. I have a $200 IWAKI pump pushing the water around.

I am selling the livestock separately. I have the following:

1) Mature Yellow Tang
2) Mature Hippo Tang
3) Tank Raised Percula Clown Fish
4) Five Green damsels
5) Cleaner Shrimp
6) Numerous snails and hermits
7) Watchmen goby
8) Spotted sandsifting goby
9) Flame Angel
10) Royal Gramma

These are my babies. I love these fish to death and it pains me to see them go. It has been my passion for over two years and I've put a lot of time and money into making them as comfortable as possible considering they've been ripped out of thier natural environment and stuck in a 4 foot wide by 2 foot wide glass box.

That said, I cannot sell the livestock to anyone with less than three years experience in marine aquariums. I will not condemn them to die by the hands of an inexperienced newbie. If you are going to buy the fish, you must be within 45 minutes of my home and have a working marine tank ready to go to accept them. (Or a quarintine tank which they will then be transferred to the main tank, but its not necessary) For the tangs and goby's, you must have at least a 100 gallon tank. For everything else, you need a minimum of a 50 gallon tank. I will deliver the fish myself to you and confirm the status of your tank before I hand them over to you at no cost to you. Please contact me if you wish to purchase the fish. I am not so concerned with PRICE as I am with CARE. If you can show me the fish will be more than comfortable I will sell them to you at a steal.

The tank doesn't really matter to me. If you want to buy the tank and not the fish, I will have to find homes for them before I can give it to you.

The tank I will part with for an even $1000 with all the equipment, live sand, live rock, skimmer, water bottles, all measurement equipment, pumps, extra salt and chemical supplements. That is a steal considering the cost of the tank, pump and the huge amount of beautiful live rock I have in this tank. I will not piece out the tank. It's all or nothing.

My email is jeff@foundrymusic.com.
My cell phone number is 917 656 8364.
I live in East Windsor, NJ, its off exit 8 on the New Jersey turnpike. (By Princeton Junction, Princeton)
It's in Mercer County.

I hope I can find someone who can love these fish as much as I have.

Thanks all.

FMJEFF

I'll keep that in mind, but I don't think I will be ready by then. If someone comes along, by all mean, sell it. If it is still around when I am looking seriously, i'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for the offer!

Live in south jersey and have a 90 bow front reef that would be a great home. Would be willing to take the Hippo, cleaner shimp, snails and the gobies. Here would be there new freinds. A six line wrasse, a bicolor angel, a royal gamma, a tomato clown(hosted), two firefish. Everybody gets along great. With the angel and clown being king and queen of the tank. Do not want to overstock so your call. How big is the hippo. Call me on my cell if interested. 856.912.3962

In one of your messages you mention lighting, but they're not included in the list of equipment??

Based on your experience with this tank, what other equipment will I need to purchase that you are not selling?

I've been thinking about upgrading from my 35. I had thought about a tank larger than a 90, but it might be just perfect.....

Also, your profile says an 80 gallon bow front???

the profile is a misspelling...its a 90 gallon...it includes lighting...it IS included with the tank...power compact 50/50...very nice...good for soft corals...not hard corals

let me get this straight...because I am a bit confused...it's either the fish or the tank...meaning you are not parting the fish? you need to buy the whole group of them?

The fish I want to sell as a group...you can buy them with the tank if you like...all I ask is you have a tank to store them temporarily until the my tank is set up....I just want to do it all in one shot.

I realize you are looking out for the welfare of your fish...I can't blame you...especially with all of the time you have invested in them...however, I think it is a bit unrealistic and perhaps contradicting if you are trying to sell the whole fish package seperately...would you really want:

1) Mature Yellow Tang
2) Mature Hippo Tang
3) Tank Raised Percula Clown Fish
4) Five Green damsels
5) Cleaner Shrimp
6) Numerous snails and hermits
7) Watchmen goby
8) Spotted sandsifting goby
9) Flame Angel
10) Royal Gramma

All being added to a tank at once? Not to mention that it will be quite hard to find someone who wants all of those fish. Just a thought....a "newbie" thought (less than 3 years exp. ), but something to consider nonetheless.

I've already had a couple of people inquire about taking the whole lot...its not that unrealistic...if you can recommend an alternative that will serve the same purpose, i'm all ears...

there is no other alternative if you want to keep everything together...parting it out would yield better results...actual people buying instead of inquiries...just my .02
