using normal Ballast with VHO Lamps?
I would like to know if I can use a normal BALLAST with the appropriate watts, with my two VHO 24" Lamps(75 watts).
NOTE: the normal standard Ballasts are significantly less expensive than for example the IceCap 430 Electronic Ballast. |

No you can not.
But you should really ask this question in the DIY or Lighting Forum.

You can use a simple VHO ballast that is inexpensive. Fulham Workhorse 7 (www.reefgeek.com), ARO (www.hellolights.com), etc.... $35 plus shipping and it will fire 220w worth of VHO in pretty much any combo.
