Question Supplements

Ok Your supposed to add supplements right. . . Right.

But how do you know when and how much if you can't test for them.

Calcium is easy i can test for it and say oh it's 300 PPM better add some or it's 400 ppm that's ok.

Is it better to just to do more frequent water changes than add supplements?

or do you have to just guess i haven't found a test kit for supplements.

Pleas Help A Newbie

Well, it varies from reefer to reefer.
I personally do not dose what I cannot test for.
I only dose cal/alk in the form calcium hydroxide.
I believe my 10% water changes ruffly every 2 weeks takes care of everything else.
