testing a 24 hour old water sample

Hi Randy! I need to check the alkalinity and Ca on a water sample that I took from an aquarium across town 24 hours ago. Will the results still be trustworthy?

some common aquarium nuisances: Bryopsis,Derbesia(hair algae),Cyanobacteria(red slime), Diatoms(golden brown algae), Dinoflagellates(gooey air bubbles),Valonia (bubble algae)

Yes, calcium and alkalinity should be OK. pH may not be.
