Tank breakdown in San Diego; all livestock for sale

The Navy is moving me across country to DC, so I'm forced to break down my 125g reef and sell all my livestock. This reef is four years old and well established. The premium LR is heavily encrusted with purple coraline algae, and looks great. Sand has plenty of worms and other little critters in it. Corals are priced well below what you would pay at any of the local distributors here in San Diego. I've sold frags before to many RC members, and they've all been very pleased with the quality and prices.

Here's a link to some pictures I took earlier in the year of some of the inhabitants.

Located in southeast San Diego. No shipping, please. Email me at jelazar@cox.net if you have more questions, and thanks for looking.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Don't break down the reef. I'm looking to move to S.D. from D.C. area. I'll stop selling my stuff (as per my threads) and we can just trade houses, with our reefs left in place

By the way, any chance you know Chris Borkenheim? He's stationed in S.D., too, in EOD I believe. Currently in Baghdad, doing his bomb deconstruction thing but on land instead of underwater this time. From what his wife tells me, he did a raid the other night and caught four baddies mixing up a few bombs. She didn't know what became of them; all she knows is that Chris and his crew ended up deconstructing the bombs.

Thanks to all for the continued interest. I still have a good selection of corals and rocks remaining; please email or PM for an updated listing.

Adam101,

Thanks for the thoughtful offer, but I don't know how long it will be once I move before I have the time to re-establish my reef, or even whether I'll be able to (gasp).

Aqua909,

I still have about 250 pound of live sand from the main tank available. All the sugar sand from my refugium has been sold.

Kengar,

Doh! Too bad I didn't get your post sooner, or maybe we could have worked something out. Let's trade opinions on DC and SD reef stores via email though!

Blade1220,

Lots of great looking LR left in the main tank; more than 50lbs, I'd say. Plus a fair bit of base rock in the sump.

If he still has it, that frogpawn piece is AMAZING. The hands down single nicest piece I've seen in person.

I'd really rather not ship, but I don't think I could safely ship the frogspawn even if I wanted to.

I still have the giant frogspawn and devil's finger, orange cap, and acro frags. I also have 2 black brittle stars, a foxface, 3 green chromis, and a royal gramma. About 20 lbs of LS, and no LR.

Nanocat,

I dunno. I expect the coral would live, especially if you put it near the top of your tank, but I don't know whether it would be happy or not. Do you have other acroporas in your nano, and if so, how do they do? Does anyone else have experience with this kind of coral and PC lighting?

Shy,

I don't have any crabs or hermits left, but I still have the giant frogspawn and devil's finger, large bubble, and orange cap. I found a few more watermelon mushrooms too. I also have 2 black brittle stars, a foxface, 3 green chromis, and a royal gramma. About 20 lbs of LS, and no LR.
