Hey Eric
Yeah those lists do add up real quick,to be honest I need to make a list and maybe a diagram of what I want to do.I have it in my head, but on paper would make it easier to remember the little things.

Nanogurl
No need to be jealous of the FL. living. Its really hot and extremely humid down here. Its probaly worser further down south of me.I do know that it was 98degrees today and the humidity was 49%.It felt like you couldnt even breathe it was so hot outside.

Yeah list always help me. I always seam to forget something. A list always gives me the time to make things the way I want.

CAUTION!!!! I am sure everyone here can relate. I started a list of cost and what I spent already and stopped quick. HOLY MOLY... WOW it adds up quick!!!!!Scary I could have bought another sports car or something..Been that route too many time figured I'd try something new. I am just ignoring the fact of the overall cost.....

hahahaha

Look forward to your progress..

Lists always work wonders for me too.

When I added up the initial costs of my 230g setup, I balked. Then I realized how much enjoyment I would get out of it, and I also remembered, that my tank hasn't yet cost me more then my education, so its still justifiable!

I really love in in-wall design. Have you given a thought as to how you'll be laying out your equipment room?

Wow, looks awesome. The cool thing about an inwall, is you do not have to make some pretty little stand, lol. You just have to build a wall instead. . . hahaha. Looks great man

I have made numerous drawings. I have an old power point that I made and will see if I can upload it.

Brandon
True I don’t have to worry about a stand, but that is only one side of the wall. The other side I may wind up doing with cabinets to make something to match the rest of the new office furniture. Not sure yet I have some basic drawings for the new desk, book shelf, and storage on the other side of the room. I am still deciding if I want a motorized light rack. I don’t think I will, got a save some money for fish, and the wooden floors.

Nanogirl
Yeah, the list was deleted of my laptop real fast!!!

My fiancé flew up to Cali to spend the weekend with me and we went to San Francisco. I stopped by a little aquarium at pier 39. Nothing special but nice. Here are a couple pics.

Yeah I did the framing. I had to go back and add a few beams so every piece of dry wall butted up to a 2x4. My roof was off by 1 inch from 1 side to the other. So I also had to make some other adjustments. But I made sure to drill into the concrete and screwed into the rafters of the roof. I wanted to make sure it was secure. The french door alignment was a little PITA. My dad came over and got it straightened out for me in about 10 minutes. All in all it wasn't too bad at all.

Thanks nano girl. I had a long day yesterday. It was all about linear accelerators and bending magnets, and changing dose yada yada yada.... Nugh said!!

Costeroma
Yeah that had a couple nice ponds like that. I told the wife that is next in line. She laughed and gave me the look. HAHHAH.

Tattooreef Sweet..I cant wait to see your updates.

Nothing new to add except I ordered my Dolphin pump. When I get some time I am going to order a couple hundred lbs of marco rocks.

You're welcome! Linear accelerators aren't usually too bad for me, but when I get into bending magnets look out! NARF!

Our Aquarium is crap. If you come to visit again be sure to the Steinhart aquarium. It is located at the Academy of Sciences building on 5th Street and howard in S.F. It is way more interesting

I can't wait to see the plumbing on this system, I'm sure it'll be top notch! I'll be following along for sure!

Thanks everyone.
I have been focus on controllers and other gadgets. I am throwing a couple ideas around. I will definitely have some type of digital display on the wall. Just adding up the cost and comparing controllers. I was almost thinking about doing some motorized light rack. I think I need to slow down a little. I do have a little one on the way. I love all the electronic gizmos. GIZMOS and TOYS = $$$$$$

Dudester your plumbing is sweet. If it is half as good as yours I will be happy.

I want my plumbing to be real simple. Less is less to break. But then on the other hand. The equipment, designing, and building add to the enjoyment of this hobby. I just don’t want to get too out of hand. I am looking around on ordering spaflex. I want to use as much as possible. I might have a connection form a friend. We all know how that goes. So far I have a dart, om4, fluid filter, phosphate, and a little skimmer. I am looking around for a used calcium reactor. I might just make one. I really want to start the tank out with a calcium reactor. Another thing I have been thinking about was making a bigger sump. Then I could use my 75 for refuge instead of the planed 55. If I had more space I would use the 150 I have. It is just too wide to fit under my tank. I only have about 3 feet to the left 1 ½ foot on the right.

I will post some drawings soon. Hopefully I can get some good feedback and maybe some better ideas. Thanks for the interest everyone..

Congrats on the little one Eric. Sounds like you have a lot of plumbing and the overall design planned out quite well. Can't wait to see some updated pics!
