How large can snowflake eels get

Ive had mine forever and he had a GOOD home in the 240 gallon tank i had, but since it sprung a leak he is now in a 55 with a 3.5 inch trigger and a sailfin tang.

and he is 14 inches long and about 1 inch wide

Paramters are all great in the tank , however I would like to buy one of those wide 40 gallon tanks and just have the eel in it ,

I know he needs more room eventually but for not , its better than him being in the other tank with the other fish and their bioload.

plus with the 40 wide instead of the 55 long , he has more width to swim
