I don't have problems with SPS but from some LPS like euphyllia or galaxea...

Masonicman thanks for your comments...
I think that Remora is a very good and efficient skimmer.! I use it for 4 years and I am very pleased with it.!
I think that this skimmer is perfect for your 55 gallons tank...
Before use it put it in a hot water for 30 minutes...

I ordered it yesterday. It should be here by Monday. I got the RIO 1400 pump and the drain hose option also with it.

Manosdr should I wash it off with warm water as the direction state or soak it in warm or hot water for the 30 minutes?

Two more question. Sorry but it hard somtimes to get good answers from the LFS, and since you have had good experiences with this skimmer and your tank shows it. I have to ping you for info.

1 When I first start using this skimmer what should the colection cup hight be? lower for wet, half way or all the way up?

2 When doing maintenance on the skimmer. Do I clean the the foam tower? The reason why I ask this is because when I clean my existing skimmer's inside tower and remove the slime fom the walls. I get alot of micro bubbles until it breaks in again.

Thanks

Soak it in the warm water, is better...
I have the collection cup half way, but you can experiment with this for the best result...
I clean the foam tower every 10 days without problems...

Manosdr reef tank is one of the most beautifull tanks in Greece.Unfortunatelly I didn't have the chance to see it in person, but others did!!!He doesn't use any steroids as he allready stated, and he doesn't use a calcium reactor also.......instead he train his family to suplement the calcium and buffer in liquid form every day!Manosdr, my compliments for your steady coral growth!!I too use T5 and I have the feeling that color comes with food supplementation and not just light!!!I like the better spectrum and more homogenus illuminationI can achieve with T5 lighting!

The colors on your tank are amazing,,do you really think t5's bring out the color better than halides? I have halides but just recently added t5s as well. I like to buy corals that are browned out, most of them color up, but I have a few sps that just refuse to color up, think the t5's will help?

I believe that the corals have better colors with T5's...
