240 had leak , dont know where, refilling it?
I have refilled it half way for a week and its not leaking
is it possible thats its just not leaking now , or should I go ahead and try to fill more of it up Im almost postivie that it was a leak in the tnak when I tore it down , because there was 3 streams of water coming down underneath my stand however None of the outside seams seemed to be wet Grandpa thinks that i had a filter such as my skimmer that uses an o ring leaking and thats what it was but im almost sure it was the tank because it wasnt leakin and when it started it was that next sunday morning and mom called me from my apartment to get home and do something about it lol for right now if i can just keep it half or a little over full ill beh appy cause i can kind of do a turtle/plant/fresh fish tank

Fill it all the way up (with fresh water, of course) to test it. It might not leak unless it has the pressure of a full tank against the seams.

i mean it was up for 3 years with no problems and I know my stand and floor is level cause my dad is a carpenter and I told him my STAND HAD TO BE perfect as possible, so maybe its just somethign that happened

Was it glass or acrylic? I have heard all glass tanks will eventually leak, But there is someone on here with a 20 year old 75 with no problems. So I don't know.

Either way, I'm sure you don't want to get rid of a 240 just because of a leak you can't find!

add some food coloring to the fresh water it will help to be able to see the leaking area better and i cant see where it would do the tank any harm

yea its glass
So , i mean , at least its not somethign that can't ever be fixed right cuase I know it wasnt a crack, cause i striped the tank down and cleaned it and there were no cracks

its possible your silicone has peeled away from the seams then.
Try running a finger or something down the seams and see if the silicone buckles up or pinches under your finger. Also is it a drilled tank? If it is its possible a bulkhead could be leaking

I would not fill it up in place. I would move it to a garage or area where a leak will not ruin my house. Then I would fill it up completely and look for the leak. If it is leaking from a seam I would not try to fix it for fear of it failing in my house.
