Quarantine Coral and Stars ?

I just got a tree coral and a starfish from my LFS. They've been acclimating for a while now. I'm wondering if I should put them into my quarantine or into my main display. I worry about the starfish in quarantine as he would have nothing to eat. There is one fish in the QT right now.

Also I have nothing to dip my coral in. Is it possible to make an iodine dip from a Kent Iodine Supplement?

Well, it's really up to you if you want to have to tear down your tank later to catch the fish to treat for diseases that may be brought in in the water that your coral or star came in. Personally, I would QT. My tank is a 180 and I'd hate to have to try getting the fish out because of some disease I introduced by not QTing.

Depends what kind it is. Probably will eat mysis or small pieces of silversides maybe off the bottom.

Always QT. Always. I used to only QT fish and learned the hard way. (One time it was zoa eating nudibranches!) that destroyed half of my softy display. It's not worth the lost in corals or fish. Give them 2 weeks minimum in QT and be happy that you aren't screwing it up.
