Aqua C what? If Urchin or Remora then forget it.

The ASM G1 is also kinda a crappy skimmer especially for the price.

What's your budget for a skimmer? Any size constraints?

oh forgot to add..... space isn't tight OUTSIDE of sump tank. I have lots of space....just not a very big sump. So doing a out of tank skimmer.....if that exists would be ok.

ASM G3 for 260$ will do your trick despite all the nuts around here that will come here and flame me for saying it. If they do Ill just have to post pics of my 55 holding tank that is run on a G3.

For the price I think the ASMs are a good buy. Works right out of the box and you don't need to do any of the mods to make it work. The Remora is a waste of money IMO and I've owned one.

Look here www.octopusskimmer.com

A NW150 should do the trick and you will save some $$$$

So you rather spend $260 on a skimmer that will work no better than an Octopus NW200 for $180 which is also built better. That's smart

For their prices, ASM skimmers are anything BUT a good buy.
If you're spending that much might as well get a EuroReef

My ASM G3 is a POC. Couldn't get it to perform worth beans, so modded it with everything one can imagine, still performs like a POS compared to other skimmers. I wouldn't recommended AquaC(rap) either.

Currently, I'm looking a the BM160 to replace it. Little more than your budget, but there's room from growth. The new ATB Nano due to arrive soon into USA looks good too, but that's even more expensive.

Is it too late to return it? I TOLD you the ASM G1 was crappy

I don't think there's much you can do to mod the G1. You could try mesh modding the pump but I just don't think the skimmer body is big enought o do squat.
