I've been using a dual lifereef for ~4 years and never lost siphon. I'm breaking down my tank and will be selling if you're interested.

Don't try the CPR overflows. While some people have luck with them, I had more than a few tank overflows due to the unit losing siphon, even with the aqualifter pump. Never had a single issue with the Lifereef.

I just ordered a life reef after trouble with the dreaded cpr. The cpr ran great for the first few weeks but has since started to lose siphon here and there.

I made mine out of PVC for about 5 buck.... the way I figure it, is
if I'm going to spend over $100 for something I really don't what
I can pay someone to drill a hole or two.

$5.00 overflow

How did you build one for $5.00 using pvc? Trying to connect my 29 gal tank to my 20 gal long sump for cheap but efficient.

Lifereef, amiracle, Or any with a u-tube. Just don't get sucked into a cpr or anything needing another pump to keep it going...
