Something better to scrape Coralline?

Well since the 90g has been up for a few years now and I decided to "clean up my tank" a bit . The normal scraper is no longer working to get the heavy stuff off . I do not plan on draining the tank so I was curious if there are better scrapers I could maybe use that does not scratch the glass ?

Thanks guys. it took me 4 1/2 hours to get one side on a 90g clean pushing overly hard :/ my weak muskels cant handle it heh

When you say scraper, do you mean a plastic one like the Kent ones? Those get dull very fast. You can put the edge back on hose with a razor blade.

I found a scraper at Lowes that takes one of the long (4" I believe) razor blades. I'm not particularly careful with it, and I've never scratched my glass. It doesn't have a long handle like some of the Kent scrapers, but as long as you're willing to get your hands wet, I haven't found anything that works better.

I've never had a *new* razor scratch glass. I've had re-used ones scratch, and so now use a new blade every time I scrape (cheap bulk pack of blades from Lowes goes a long way)

i had gotten most of it off , like 1/2 way down the glass below that even a razor blade has a tough time catching . now for the pink and purple straws covering the bottom of my tank :/ heh .

at least its helping me find dead spots in my tank , oh ya my purp tang decided to do a drive by on me . Love that sweet feeling of a hammer hitting you then some stinging and lots of bleeding :/ Guess thats what i get after a year and a half and then rearranging the rock work . This critic did not approve

I always get a bit jumpy around the tangs. Especially if I can't see it due to clouded water.

there is a product from a company, i believe it's called algaefree, that glues to a magfloat cleaner so you can clean coraline without getting your hands wet. it has a 3 inch razorblade in it and works great. i have one and am able to get at places i never could before and the best part is that i don't sore arms
