I think the corner of my tank has started with a think green algae. I am assuming that this an algae bloom and is a bad thing. What should I do?

Watch about sunlight finding your tank during the day; watch about feeding with dry food. YOu have a little excess of phosphate, which is fueling this. I see you're new. How new? We are assuming you've cycled, right? Are you using ro/di? Not using it is a huge phosphate source, quite often. If you set up a fuge now, you could probably nip this in the bud and save yourself some cycles of grief...algae can be a persistent pita, changing breeds often, but still persisting.

I have been established for 3 months now and I also use RO/DI water. I just finished making 30 gallons of water and I am currently mixing salt with a heater in it. My tank is 125 gal tank (about 80 gallons of actual water is in there with the rocks etc.) so hopefully switching out 30 gallons will be a helpful water change?
