ok i new sending the kid to college for engineering would pay of he calculated the volume loss if we run the 2 1 inch overflows into a 1 1/4 inlet in the sump wich is the max i can fit the volume loss was 28 percent wich still when you factor the elbows in is almost 900 gph so thats what i did the over flows are plumbed as for the returns he is still working on the formula for the pressure and volume in the 3/4 but i beleave by the early calculations it will about the same with the length of the pipe and pump pressure so i think it is going to work ok

actually i just hung the uv above the sump and got a small pump 100gph and run a line from it to the uv and the return on it right back into the sump the uv works great for parasites and alge control the one i plumbed was on my 46 and within 2 weeks of removing it my alge is out of control again so it is worth it

i have a turbo twist 18 watt i used to have another brand but it didnt work as well and the bulbs were hard to get and exspensive the turbo twist is not exspensive and you can use a smaller unit because of how the water flows check the specs per gallon i think a 9 watt will do 100 gallons but there wasnt much differance in price so i got the 18 and now im glad because it will fit the 125 if i can be any more help let me know

uv plumbing

decided to replumb the uv i used the flex hose the first time now im using pvc because the flex was not holding the pump in place and the return was in the way for the media tray so it was just because it made things easer after the setup for maintenance so a litte more work know will save time later
