Do you recommend the filter guys for RO/DI systems?

I am in the market for a RO/DI to fill my 120. (finally) I see the filter guys are a sponsor of the forum. Has any one purchased one of there systems? And what did you think of it? What add on's are a must?

And one Off topic question.

On our fridge we have a carbon filter inline with the supply line. TDS going in is 189 and coming out its 141. If i put two carbon filters in line will it take it down even lower?

Chris

Filter guys are cool!
Your TDS is pretty low off the bat.
If you buy A standard RO/DI from them you should be straight.
With your low TDS levels the filters should last longer also.
Get the DI you can refill.
The DI is the next most expensive after the membrain.
My unit is so expensive to change all the filters that I could buy A new one for the same price.Don't make the mistake I made.

I've also used The Filter Guys. Very satisfied. Nice people to deal with too.

Not likely, because carbon is limited in what in can filter out of your water. It can only remove particular elements like lead and chlorine, but not carbon or magnesium.

They are great. I bought the Ocean Reef +1 awhile ago and it has worked flawlessly. I recently bombarded them with questions as I upgraded and changed filters, and they responded within that day to everything I asked.

I think they are a perfect match for you, the only other company I would use is spectrapure , for their awesome maxcap system, but that is really only needed for people with very high TDS (300-400 +) IMO.

Not sure about their actual RO/DI units, but if the units are as good as their service, then you can't go wrong. I have a spectrapure unit, but I buy all my replacement filters from the Filter Guys.
