flame angle...

live aquaria states that a flame angle would do good in a 30 gallon tank or larger. can you really get a flame angle in a 30 gallon? i'v wanted one for some time now but i want to put it in the right environment.

I think dwarf angels will do OK in a 30 ... however I suspect they would appreciate a mature tank and would hold off until the tank is about 9+ months old.

I would recommend using non-flaming angles in the future. The smoke and flames tends to get in the way. I particularly like 90 degree angles (non-flaming of course).

Ok, anyway, a flame angel can be kept in a 30g tank, depending on what is currently in there. They like lots of live rock to cruise around and graze on, and can bully certain fish. There is of course a risk of them picking on corals.

I had a flame angel in a 29g tank, and I thought the fish was too large for the tank in short order. I agree that they're often not friendly to corals and clams.

I'd stop with two clown and a firefish. Four fish, especially if one's a dwarf angel, is a lot of fish for that size tank, in my opinion.

the flame might beat the firefish up, or it will never come out, i tihnk you would be okay with the fourfish in the 30 tho

The clown fish and the flame angel should be okay together, same with the flame and the imperial.
