hello doc,

i was fortunate enough to acquir them from a friend who was going in a diff. direction the hobby. he got them from another hobbyist who had family down near anthony's shop. i spoke to the original owner/hobbyist of these beauties over the phone today and he gave me the history on these pieces. it's quite special to be able to add this to my collection that was originally acquired back in 05.

btw, these are not for sale

Yah, Anthony was getting some nice pieces. Over the last couple of years, I've picked up some nice micros and lords from him. I remember leaving work in the middle of the day with an "emergency" to get to his shop asap.

And just to think I found him by simply driving by this store one day. Figured I'd stop and just check it out. What a find.

True pink centers. Not faded red, or washed out orange ones either!
Sorry I dont have a Cannon, but had to show this beaut off! Ya, I know, shouldve cleaned the bright green algae off the sand to..but..but!!Pink!hehe

From the same colony as Tyree's AE, centers look kinda blue on the reeffarmer pics though, little bit on mine too, i'll post when I can get a better pic

Hi, everyone. I don't post very often (usually when something in my tank breaks!). But here are a few pics from my gallery. All pics were taken with a canon digital rebel and the canon 50mm macro lens. As you can see, I'm not very good with the names. If anyone can ID any of the ???? ones, I'd appreciate that.

Thanks.
Curt

Not sure if this one has a name. I've never seen it elsewhere.

Angel Eyes? (actinics)

????

Blackjack

????

Eye of the World?

Joker?

Curt

Laffy Taffy

???? I call it Orange Floyd.

Basic (but nice) red micro.

???? I call it Zinger. For some reason, it reminds me of a Dolly Madison zinger.

Superman? Spiderman?

UFO (metal halides)

UFO (actinics)

I have colony shots for a number of the micros and I'd be happy to post them. However, I think I'm at my max for gallery picture space (5Mb), so I couldn't upload everything. What are other people doing in terms of posting pics? Using flickr.com?
