help lps dieing
help i lost a pink tiped torch and my frogspawn,
now i think my favia has it , just getting a white film on top and then dieing, what could do this just did a water change, can it be getting to hot, not enough food, i dont know please help |

What are the water prams? Lighting, do anything to the tank lately???

85 is the spike? What does it start off with? A big swing can tick LPS off to no end. A big cause of brown jelly infections too.

ahh heat+lps= white slime and dead tissue. I would guess it has gotten up to 87-88 maybe or higher?

A quick fix is get a small fan or two to blow over the surface water and in sump. Long term fix, invest in a chiller.
What are your parameters? Are you testing them? It may be the heat spike but may be others as well. The corals are dying for a reason and you have the answers in the water. What you are describing needs immediate attention so find out quick. How long have you had those corals? |
