I agree, shipping sux for small orders. did your orders get held up in transit? Could you possibly have them held at the fedex location near your house for pickup?

Sort of OT, but do you have a guess on the ID of that? I have one with very similar in structure to the one listed in the auction, but different color. I was thinking it may be Favites micropentagonia, but I'm not sure. The coralites on mine are 3-4 mm in diameter. Mine doesn't resemble Micromussa (to me, anyway) and I can't find anything in the genus Favia in Veron's book that looks like it either.

tld, is yours green with red outer? That picture isn't showing the color he quoted it to be which was green with red outer, otherwise it would be totally obvious that it was a favia.

The colors on mine are opposite of what's shown on that Ebay auction - that one is green with dark centers and mine is red with green centers. The coralites on mine are so small, which eliminates most faviids. I'll take some pics tonight and start another thread. I don't want to detract from the lovely micromussas.

Actually, I've been watching this thread since the beginning I love the pics. I am the bidder.

When I saw auction and description and starting price I bid just the minimum but immediately wrote the seller letting him know that the pic was a favia or favites. I thought maybe he had inserted wrong pic being that I saw no red/burgundy either, but I knew that wasn't micro. I asked him to send a new pic or to cancel my bid if he couldn't support his claim of a micromussa. I wrote him again after not receiving pic and asked him again to cancel my bid and suggested he cancel auction and restart it under the heading of favia/favites. I don't know if he did but he did cancel my bid. I was amazed some of the responses I got from peeps on eBay after I made bid. It was funny!!

Pic is a little washed out but maybe I am giving it too much light. They are under 250W MH 10k's with 4 x54w T5's

wow, I think those 10k's might be doing it, when I had those they bleached out everything, switched to 14k's and now the corals are all much happier, so much nicer colours overall too....

here's some more pics to throw on here...

I dig the little starburst centers on these...

and on these...

Had 14k's and hated them. Much better PAR on my 10k's. My sticks ( Acro's) color up much better as well. Coral is about 18-24" under the lights.

Rob, are those t5's 65k's by any chance?

We got rid of our 14's for 20k's because even the 14's were causing some color intensity loss. Under 20's the micros glow like electricity

Rob, I haven't any mircos, but my other LPS lost color under 10Ks MHs, where my acros loved it.

Now I have 150 radiums and my LPS is loving it, but my acros is a mixed bag. Some like it, some don't.
