Keep and eye on that hermit. I have at least 30 scarlet hermits in my tank not one of them has red legs like that. I think your hermit is going to be huge. It's definitely not one of the dwarf scarlet hermits we all keep in our reefs.

tagging along...dont have time to read the whole thread now, but I admire all you younger people and am jealous that I didnt get into it sooner. I am a very old person at 27. algae blenny, I thought for sure you were much older than 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flipturn... I am assuming you swim year round in the Atlanta area. What team and the such? I happen to be in the know about club swimming around Atlanta... (I am 25, so I don't know if I qualify for this thread anymore )

Cool rotarycoach! Yes I do swim @ Swim Atlanta---it (and reefing of course) takes up most of my free time . I swim at the John's Creek pool. Do you know the coaches at Swim Atlanta?

Its great that younger people are getting involved in the hobby and learning early what to do to help preserve the reefs and how to properly care for the corals/fish. An idea you may want to look into is suggesting to the local clubs that they host a jr. member club within the adult one. Our club has been doing this for yrs. It gives parents a chance to be involved with their kids interests and also allows you to have access to alot of information and benefits you may not otherwise be able to get to. Just an idea to look into.

Started with FW when i was 16, First reef at 19 and now im 20.

started at 14, 18 in septermber, gave up about 3 months ago (hair algae). the tank is sitting there waiting to be sold but im thinking of just moving its location to the garage or something have a bare tank with a pair of clownfish and a bta or something.
