Achilles Tang VS Powder Blue tang
Hello all,
I was wondering which tang need bigger tank? Which one is more hardy and easy to keep. For the people that already keep those tang for more than 5 years, How big is your tang now? Anyway, I doubt that I can get a Achilles Tang around my area anyway, I haven't seen one for sell in the LFS for more than a year now. Thanks, |

The PBT has a better track record of the two. The achilles is one of the hardest fish to keep. Most achilles that do well are in full sps tanks with high high flow and great water conditions. PBT's can become hardy the huge key with both fish is getting a healthy specimen to start with.

The key is to get these fish healthy & eating prepared foods, before you take them home.

Minimum 6 foot tank for both of them. My Achilles is already outgrowing my 125g. Sometime down the line I will be upgrading to an 8 foot 240. Ive had mine for a year now. Never tried a PBT.
