This thread started about LFS's in Delaware, but it does cover a lot in the DC area. I personally go to Exotic Aquatics in Maryland (just north of Baltimore).

However, I'll order dry goods online if I need a bunch of stuff.

There isn't alot in the DC area. The place in Rockville closed. There is Roozen's Nursery, but I haven't been there in ages-better for fish than corals. You will have to go to N. Va or possibly Baltimore, depending on where you live. Now, I buy almost exclusively online.

You have five choices, only two of which I would consider good. In order of what I consider to be good:

1) Marine Scene in Herndon, VA. I think they are also a sponsor on these boards.

2) The Reef Tank, off Guinea Road in VA.

3) Wally's on Little River Turnpike in Arlington, VA.

4) Pet {Something} further up from Wally's on Little River Turnpike.

5) Reusen's in Ft. Washington, MD. Don't recommend it, but just go once and you'll see what I mean.

It hink only the first two are certified by the association that gives the generally humane and responsible in capturing animals seal of approval. Sorry, too lazy to look up acronym.

I personally find Roozen's Nursery frightening but that is just IMO. There is the Aquarium Center in Randallstown, pretty pricy but a bit of everything. Aquatic Creations in Urbana, not a big selection but ok. HTH

Once Totally FIsh opens again in Aspen Hill, it might be worth a look. They have a few good people. The livestock is hit or miss.
