ReefGeek Group Buy

Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone is interested in doing the first ReefGeek group order with me?

I am ordering a new T5 lighting kit for my aquarium. I'd like to order on the 21st because I was planning on trying to have my tank accustomed to the new lighting by the frag swap, but if we need to wait an extra week or two to hit the 7% or maybe even 9% mark, I am totally fine with that!

If you're interested, let me know and I'll start a spreadsheet. FWIW, my total should be around $320 or so before discount, so I now we'll hit at least 5% off and it wouldn't take but $180 more to hit 7% off! 9% is a little further away at $1000, but hey... its possible!

Just let me know! For more official information, please see this thread.

Very cool. Just let me know, Norman. If I have to, I'll order an extra bulb or two to get the 7%.

Good deal, guys. How is January 2nd for everyone? I'd like to do it earlier than that if possible, but it looks like we may have a glimpse of hope of reaching 9% off, and I can wait for that...

Oh, and having said that... if you guys could let me know exactly what you need when you get a chance (Chuck withstanding till after Christmas ), that would be great. Not a huge, huge deal, but I'd like to know where we're at as far as a total along the way.

Also, I will probably have to have your guys payment up front because this time I don't have cash to front an order.

Thanks guys!

Anyone else?

I will probably have to have everyone's money up front as I don't have the cash to front the order. PayPal would probably be easiest.

Also, how is January 2nd as far as an ordering/"have my money to Brandon by" date?

Also, please let me know what you guys need. I just put a spreadsheet together of what I have so far.

Thanks for joining me in this one, guys!

Oh! And one last note... only $65 until 7% off.

Awesome... thanks for the reply, Norman. Since you're so close, I'll probably just pick up your payment, if you don't mind. That'll avoid the PayPal fees, which are annoying, but still probably cheaper than gas for those that are a bit further away.

Awesome, Steve! Glad to have you aboard.

We have now officially met 7%. We MAY be able to make 9%! I certainly hope so, anyway... that would ROCK!

I'll update the spreadsheet later tonight and post it.

I see that you are ordering from RG and I would be interested to join since I need to place an order from them. I would be spending at least 85 on bulb replacement and possibly another 165 on another t5 retro kit. This would get you closer to the 9% discount and I would send payment by Jan. 2 and would pick it up at the swap. Any problems with doing that? If so no problem and understand.

Well... I've got some good news/bad news. Hopefully good news for everyone.

Due to the holidays impacting my finances a little more than I had planned, I am going to have to wait until January 18th to order. I think this may actually work out better for all of us. I PM'd the guys who have already placed their orders, and they were fine with ti.

Maybe this will give everyone more time to save up and maybe give the ETRC guys a chance to get on board!
