Ok, the name calling and arguing is not getting this thread anywhere. Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to that opinion. Let's keep in on track. you asked a question and I believe it got answered.

Nobody asked anyone's opinion about anything. The name calling as initiated by the people giving opinions.

I own and operate a huge automotive related forum, and you just did a poor job on this one.

By the way, when someone asks a specific question about a product and everyone comes in thread crapping, most moderators step in.

What kind of forum is this? I couldn't even get my questioned answered because you allowed people to come in and call me names. Then you tell me not to be calling other people names.

Poor Job. Hope you don't mind constructive critisism.

You really don't 'get it' do you..? In case you need a refresher, this was your very first post!

I just got it, I though it was supposed to foam up into the cup, maybe I don't understand. It's been a long time. :-) Is it working?
When put together a few words in a sentance, and then end that sentance with a '?', that becomes a QUESTION. In order to effectively answer a question, it requires a statement of opinion, which is whattyou received from several members here, that actually were trying to help you, all the while you were spouting off as a know-it-all that read a paragraph somewhere that said to disregard wht everyone else says...

FWIW: 1215 members is hardly considered 'huge' for a board thats been up since March of 2001... It's more like pathetic!

You aren't getting off that easy. If a friend asked you for help to see if your water pump is working on your Ford F150, and you start talking about how the water pumps suck and you need to get a Euro-Reef water pump, how is that constructive?

Everyone would agree that the Skimmmer DOES SKIM and it DOES WORK, just not to everyone's satisifaction.

There are plenty of threads for people to state an opinion about which skimmer is the best, this was not one of them.

A) There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with constructive criticism, and it appears that yiu agree, since you have offered up so much of it to the Mods & Staff here. If you re-read my initial post on pg-2, you would have noticed that I did offer up advice and tricks to make it function better, but YOU chose to attack me for saying that I wouldn't buy a SeaClone, if I had it to do all over again...

B) Everyone does NOT agree that it works as stated, and that's precisely why this thread has taken the course that it has...

C) I didn't see your disclaimer in the initial thread. I have seen a ton of very condescendingh posts from you, and my guess is that you will not soon be receiving any support from anyone else here...

I think the only way you'll ever get a clue, is if your mother breaks down a buys one for you!

That's a load of marketing crap, because 'unique visitors' equates to each and every different IP that hits a page. Those of us on dialup, have a differnt IP every time we log in, so I alone could easily constitute for well over 1000 unique visits a month on any of the forums that I frequent.

I too have setup/owned/admined several boards, so I know how it works. The last one I setup, had over 1200 new/registered members in the first 3 months alone!

Your credibility is deminishing by each thread you post.

When someone asks a question about a product and if it is installed properly, that is not the time to start product bashing. It's quite obvious people are not satisifed with the effeciency of this skimmer, and I do agree, that it does not perform anywhere close to that of what I have seen on the Euro-Reef. HOWEVER this post was not about that.

The name calling was not initiated by me, nor did I return the favor.

Really, what is the URL?

If you were really experienced, you'd know that there are many people who would be happy to get 10,000 unique visitiors EVERY MONTH for 3 years on a web site.

You don't need the URL, nor will I give it to you!

I am experienced enough to know that what I said about the IP's is 100% factual, so anyone that is actually happy with 10k/month, has been fed a line of crap and lied to about how things really work.

If you actually have advertisers that are happy, then you are either lying to them, or seriously withholding vital information... either way, it's among the most deceptive of marketing practices on the internet, and maybe someone like me (that's been in the web development & marketing business since the early 90's) should clue your sponsors & members in...

calling a moderator on hoe he has done his job is bad form IMO.

Berating others.. more bad form. that goes for all involved here.

guess what.. closed..

As was said earlier.. You posed a question. It was answered.
