As requested in PM by another party, one cart to look into might be found at http://www.quikstore.com

I'm not solidly confirming this is the cart I saw in action, but it appears to be a cart that will perform as I mentioned with the inventory control plugin..

I will search more in-depth for the working example I had seen in the past and attempt contact with the webmaster to find the exact configuration used.

HTH,
Norm

norm thanks for the feedback,

I guess you are right while it was a misdirection it was still moving forward so maybe it was more like a step off the path of growth.

Ironically I spent nearly a decade in IT selling people programmers o do customizations,
convincing them that in the long run its worth the investment. always downplaying the
ultimate upgrade cost and the disaster it is to change logic (code in this case)

Im so pumped to get back to UNIX if I have a temporary set back of changing carts I
will not mind J. I really have no experience using them on the back end, and you
really never have any true understanding of integration issues until you’re a user.

Moving to PHP from ASP is going to be great as well, the site can move into a CMS
system. I think it will help me create content quicker J I really have to get back to the site, the Farm has been a solid distraction for a year now, and the past three months spent
only on this conversion.

I have tons of unique dive into to add, and I think I need to indicate what is there and
what will come like you pointed out. Thesea this year got it’s nonprofit status so I also
have access to allot of public data that can only be found through 10 or 20 sites. Like
my world reefs section, that public info is pulled from about 8 sites and its one good source to find reef maps from all around the world J

Please take all of this to PM's.

This forum is for Vendor experiences NOT how to build a web site.
As soon as I can figure out where to put it I will be moving portions of this thread that are off topic.

Better Value for the $

Most of Blane's Rics and shrooms come from Reeftopia. Reeftopia has been around for awhile and offers, in genaeral better prices and always has free shippng. If we had a problem they fixed it pronto. Wee have as of yet to receive a "over stated peice". Go to www.reetoppia.com or call and talk to Edi.

Edie at reeftopia is great, I also get some from Blowfish they have great stuff and everyone once in a while Bryan shoots me out some stock, i propagate.

For interesting Rhodactis I got a few of mine From Tropicorium.

Allot of my original zoos from Tony Calfo.

What I try to do though is mass a collection and keep propagatign them for a long lasting supply

I just want to give a heads up to any one thinking about ordering from Blane's site thesea.org.The corals I recieved were not only fantastic looking but in excellent health. His corals are understandably more difficult to obtain because you can't find them anywhere else!I was happy just to recieve my order and he threw in a couple of free frags to boot.

Hopefully these frags will be the start of future showpiece corals in my aquarium.I will be ordering from Blane again very soon.

How long was it between ordering and shipping?

Thanks Ray.

So I guess I wait around for about a week before I expect to hear from Blane. It's not going to be easy but I think I can do it.

Good luck. It took me at least 2 weeks and most of the stuff didn't even look like what I ordered.

I'll never order from him again. I placed two orders both got all #$@%$# up. The first time I ordered specific frags that I wanted and he calls me after he ships them telling me I'm not getting what I wanted but I shipped you some other frags for free.To bad thats not what I wanted free or not. I would of canceled the order if he called me before they shipped..I think he knew that so he shipped and called later. Just a bad business move IMO.

The second order was even worse. I ordered $175 worth of frags and when the came they looked nothing like the pictures on the site. I placed this order because I wanted to get these purple polyps and I didn't even get them and I paid for them. I called him and we were going to work things out since he already had my money and I was out the purples. I tried to place another order just so I could get the frags I originaly ordered from the last order but I just cancelled it. Told him to just keep the frag he was holding for me he didn't even offer to credit my account for the piece I never received.

Just so you all know those PPE he has came from Bryan at the logical reef..He has them again keep watch on his site.

Later
-Jimmy

That is not what I heard. I am not defending Blane at all. But those ppe came from a local store here in Pittsburgh.

I am more than sure, Bryan would have spoke up if he had them. Great if he does, Bryan is a good guy.

I really would like to see some pictures from a hobbiest of the ppe's, because they cannot look like they do on the website. I wish they did, and I wish I had some.

O well, later
Rob

Bryan is not the kind of guy to go after anybody on the boards. I was at Bryans a couple of monthes ago doing some trading and got these.

They sure look like it to me. I am sure that bryan has more coming on. If not he's going to get a bunch of these from me.

Anemone,

Thank you. I was trying to put the pic in. Did it before and it worked fine. I don't know what went wrong.

THANK YOU AGAIN.

I hope Bryan did have them.

That pic does not look anything like Blane's pic though.

As far as my comment to where they came from, I was going on what Blane told me, since he is local to me. I have never uttered a bad word about Bryan, we have exchanged a few emails.

O well, regardless, nice zoos Treeman.

That pic is under only 10k pc bulbs. NO actinic and NO 20k mh. And last but not least I can't take a pic worth a damn. they are more purple in person.
