# of T5 Lights Required
Hi There, I am new to the Marine Aquarium hobby/lifestyle. I bought a 784L tank (150 x 70 x 70).
My question is how much and what type of light's do I need for this type of setup, I am planning to do a reef tank. Chris |

If your tank is actually 70" deep, then T5's will do nothing for you... Start saving your pennies for a handful of 400w MH fixtures!

Hi tgreene,
No the tank is actually 28 " or 20 cm deep |

Oppps, I see where you marked it as liters rather than gallons...
My tank is 72x18x24, and I use 4 sets of the ColarVue 36" dual bulb fixtures, for a total of 8 39w bulbs. |

Thx tgreene
This gives me an idea where to start. Should I rather concider MH lights since the tank is so deep? |

Go read the 50,000 page T5 thread, because it covers absolutely everything...
