Phosban reactor help!!

Hello everyone, I just installed a phosban reactor and last night noticed a bit of residue in the tank. I used some seachem clarity to clear it up and all this phosban residue was in my filter floss this morning. I changed it out. My tank is crystal clear this morning. I have the reactor hooked up to a maxijet 400. The valve is cranked amout quarter of the way. There is slight tumbling of the phosban itself. The water above the phosban is clear. My clear tubing going to the tank is clear with only few crystals of phosban in the tubing (from original setup). I did run about a bucket of aquarium water through the reactor as waste before I put in my aquarium. Is this normal. Anybody have any similar experiences. My flow is low and I realize that if the flow is high that the phosban will be grinded up. It has never been high.
Any comments are welcome

It is normal if not rinsed thoroughly.
In the future rinse it until it runs clean.
Go ahead and use the garden hose to do this.

hth,
Sean

Yeah it is normal. You can also rinse it by running it in your tank and routing the outflow from the reactor into another container until the media has been rinsed. I like rinsing it before I get it in the reactor though.
