Free Fish

Okay, well unfortunately, the singular version of the word "fish" is the same as the plural version.

That being said, I have 1 fish that I would like to get rid of. The fish is a bicolored pseudochromis (pseudochromis paccagnellae). I have had this fish in my tank for about 6 months now and it is just too aggressive for my tank. I have 2 clowns in the tank with the bicolor and they can handle their own, but the bicolor seems to have a taste for fresh shrimp.

When I first got this fish, I knew they could be aggressive. I had one before, and it wasn't bad at all. I got rid of the last one when I moved (along with almost everything else in my tank). My wife really liked the color on this fish (as did I), so we decided to get it. Well, within a few days, my two peppermint shrimp disappeared. It was about a week later when I saw the bicolor attacking my half-dead skunk cleaner shrimp that I realized she/he/it had eaten the peppermints, too.

Here is my other problem. I have never shipped a fish. I have never received a fish through the mail. I have no idea how to do it. If anybody would like this fish, feel free to contact me here on this thread or PM me. I would also appreciate any help on how to ship a fish (packing, heating, etc...)

Like I said, this fish would be free. The "buyer" would just pay for the shipping/packing, nothing more.

This fish would probably be a great addition to a larger tank. She/he/it likes to spend about 75% of its time hidden in the rocks, but it really is a beautiful fish when it is out swimming.

Anybody interested? Oh yea, the fish is about 2.5" right now and probably won't get much bigger.

(not the actual fish, but it looks just like this one)

-Scott

P.S. - for you critics out there, if there is no interest in this fish, I will keep it in my tank. She/he/it is NOT going to be flushed, don't worry... It's just time for her/him/it to go.

i would try to find someone where you live to take the fish, or may be to a lfs. the cost to ship it would not be worth it. and yes those are mean fish i had two of them and will never put another one in a tank. if you like the color there is a basslet that has the same color and about the same size and very peacful . i have one now and i have no problems with it

I was going to get one but after reading about their aggression. I don't think so. I wouldn't even risk going to my LFS and try to "luck out" with a nice one. I deffinatly don't want one that has already proven to be a killer.

I have a skunk cleaner in my tank whom I love. Just bring him back to one of your LFS there should be one that will take a free fish.
