Removing leather from rock
What is the best way to remove a leather from rock work?
I have a leather that has grown significntly and the base is now as big as my forearm and it has spead and attached to the base of my rock work. I would like to move it or trade it off for a smaller specimen now but don't know how I can detach it form my rock work. The only way to remove the other rocks it attached to is tearing down my entire rock structure which isn't feasible now. Can the base of the leather be cut without damaging the rest of the body? |

thats how ive moved mine several times. i then stick a toothpic through its base and use rubberbands to hold it to the rock until it attaches

OK sounds like it might work then since I don't have to cut through the entire base. Maybe only about a third of the way. I know people talk about fragging them by cutting peices off the top but never really seen much about cutting at the base.
Thanks. |
