# of Penductors on 70RLT?

I am currently pushing two penductors with an Iwaki 70rlt and man do they move water!

I see on the KTH sales site they reccomend "two maybe three" penductors on the 70RLT. I was curious if anyone out there is running three using the 70RLT, and if so; how are they working? Did you try running just two first? What differences were there?

I appreciate any feedback..

i would run three but that is just me. i run 2 on a mak 4 pump and when i turn off one of them i dont really notice mutch difference if any from the flow from the other one, so i would say run 3.

Thanks Tim,

So a Mak4 is rated up to 22.3ft of preassure with a max output of 1190gph

I couldnt locate a flow curve but I read its comparable to an Iwaki50RLT. I agree, I could probably add another eductor..

does anyone run penductors off of loc line? Loc line say there only rated up to 25psi and plan on running two 3/4 penductors off of 3/4 loc line. Will that be a problem? Also,i'm coming up from the basement about 10' and gets plumbed through a chiller, fuge and a frag tank before heading back uostairs,so i 'm figuring around 11 or 1200gph via a 1" return. I was going to split it off to 2-3/4 linesup by the tank via manifold or just a tee.

Any thoughts?

sorry jl,i just got a thought from this thread the wheels would'nt stop turning...again! Btw,you can use a double ended connector and 2 male treaded adaptors from loc line to make that work.

soory once again...carry on.

To answer a few of the questions posted on this thread. I have three penductors hooked to my 70rlt via vinyl tubing and locline. Very easily done and moves the water but at 345 watts and mucho heat in my 300 gal, I'm revamping to a Tunze stream at 19 watts to move the water and an Eheim 1262 at 80 watts for my sump return. Anyone want to buy my Iwaki, a year old, and my other 70 used for two weeks, as well as my 3 black penductors complete with about 12 inches of locline apiece.

I am interested in the 3 black penductors complete with about 12 inches of locline apiece. Please shot me a PM. What is the size of penductor and how much?

How big is your tank? Were all three Penductors reachign the opposite end of the tank?

I have an 8 ft 300 gal FOWLER viewable from three sides. I have one Penductor on one end and the flow from that one makes it almost to the other end. The other two are in more in the middle pointed towards each end. I'm not sure what to tell you regarding the size of the Penductors. They are black, about four inches long and I'd say the bell is about an inch and a half across. The locline is more like 7 inches long but I have four of them. I also have the pliars. For those interested in buying them or the pumps, Email me at B4UWheeze@Yahoo.com. When I get things changed out next week and I'm happy with the water movement we can discuss a price.
