Angelfish in reef tanks
How many of you have experience with keeping Angelfish in your reef tanks? Based upon other threads I see here on RC, it seems to be hit or miss with all Angels except the Genicanthu line.
I like the Swallowtail Angelfish but liveaquaria states it needs 100G. So, size wise I would be much better off with the dwarfs such as the Flame, Coral Beauty, and Cherub. Any of you tried keeping these? |

I got a coral beauty angel for my 75 gallon about a year or two ago, but it didn't last long. I got it locally, and a few days after I got it home I noticed crypto...>.<
It didn't last long in the quarantine tank. I've always wanted to try a flame, but I would be afraid of it nipping at SPS or other corals...

Steve, do you have them in the same tank? How long have you had them and what type of corals are you keeping them with, soft, lps, sps?

My coral beauty ignores leathers, xenia, ricordia, and even a few lps.
He eats flake and whatever else I put in there, and picks at algea. He's really a model citizen. |

I have a coral beauty in my 75g and a flame angel in my 210g each for a couple years now, no issues with either.
