First, search through the posts made recently. You'll find a lot of info, like the fact that seahorses aren't hard to keep, if you do RESEARCH and have the right tank setup.

I don't have any seahorses yet but my seahorse tank is up and cycling.
I'm guessing that the hardest part with the horses is the fact that they need feed 2-3 times a day with foods that can't go in a auto feeder. |

There are virtual libraries with articles on their keeping on both seahorse.org and syngnathid.org to get you started on the reading.

If you had to pick one seahorse book on startup, feeding, etc, etc...
Which book would you pick. |

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't pick a book. I'd pick the articles here http://www.seahorse.org/library/articles.shtml
Books have a tendency to either be out of date, or to focus on pictures and classification rather than care. Tracy Warland has a book, and while I haven't read it, I expect it is a strong resource. I am not sure if it is available in the U.S. though. |
