Question Reef safe stain for stand & canopy?

I've just finished building the canopy for my 180 and I am a bit concerned as to which stain to use to avoid any contamination from leeching of harmful chemicals. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Any stain of your choice will work fine, just be sure to put a few coats of poly or clear coat over top. Thats what prevents the water from contacting the wood.
