Anyone know if they will eat the majanos as well? They are very similar to the aptasia. Also if they run out of aptasia and majanos will they eat regular BTA's?
As for a group buy....I probably need 9+ for my system so if other would like. I am not really interested in running a group buy though. Let me know for sure. |

they will not. They ONLY eat aptasia. which means unless you have a moderate to heavy aptasia problem this is not a good solution for you. I would try kalking them.
after your aptasia is gone they die. but the nice thing is they will completely erradicate your aptasia. the links that were posted will give you more info on them. |

I'll see if my husband wants to run a group buy. Can't promise anything but boy am I tired of aiptasia! |

its best to actually remove rocks with aiptasia and put them in a 10 gallon with these guys until they start breeding which is very prolific then place the juveniles in your tank, I've been considering this for a while... Problem is its like the whole seahare dilemna, once your problem is cured dead berghia,
Good news always enough people that have aiptasia problems, I still remember when crystal said over a year ago, kill that its bad and I said oh its just one.......... I'll run the group buy if we have enough interest, pm or post who you find as the cheapest and we'll go from there. |

The link to the berghia.net/marketplace had them for 13.5 apiece if there were 24 bought. I believe they said ship and handling was free with 30. Tried to find the link on cora that had them for $10 but couldn't. Probably just falling asleep at my computer while aimlessly scrolling...

We did a group buy a while back on them. They are sweet, but also very sensitive. I put 12 in my 125 and never saw them again after that day. I think they were eaten by the aptaisia.
I think for the most part it was that way across the board for most that got in on it. Although there were also a couple that had good success with them also I think. The other thing to keep in mind once all the aptaisia are gone, if you don't supply a food source they will die.

i think the 10 gallon is a good idea. just transfer the rocks into it that need it. the problem with them being in a big tank i was reading is sometimes they wander so long and die before they have an aptasia
