very well done that looks awesome...

what kinda lighting you using in the hood?

have you got room to squeeze in one of those 50/50 screw in's? or is it PC?

what kind of evaporation are you experiencing?

i am very curious about doing something like this too..

I've got a glass shop in town that might cut it to size for me...I think i'm gonna start looking into pricing.

You said you used 3/8"? That seems a little heavy for just a divider...do you think I could get away with 1/8"? What type of silicone did you use?

(Sorry to ask so many questions...the extent of my DIY has been cutting egg crate to fit the top of my QT...lol)
I would not use 1/8'' it would be very flimsy. 1/4'' would work great. There are a bunch of silicones you can use. GE I or GE II window and door WITHOUT mild inhibitors seem to be the most popular. DAP also makes silicone for aquarium use that isn't very pricey. HTH.

I would like to know how much that cost as well. Looks like a very good job. Just wondering if it was worth it.

i think he sold it since, but its a very nice tank, i think he used 3/8" acrylic though. at least i would i find the 1/4 too thin for acrylic, might be too much flex

i think there would b next to no flex in 1/4 acrylic in a tank this size....there is very, and i mean very little flex in my acrylic panels in my sump...

the worst thing i have about this setup now is what i just found out teh hard way...acrylic expands....he said he made it fit tight...this concerns me since my panels werent snug and they still managed to shatter my sump...best bet would be to use tinted glass instead of acrylic....

i sure wish there was more info displayed about evap and the lighting...
